I am not going to be able to participate this month! For the life of me I cant remember anything I found in December for sure. I think I found a mercury and a few relics but might have been the end of November.

Oh Boy! I've been waiting for this month. I actually found an 1893 Indian Head cent. Don't make me take a picture of it, please.

Well I didn't think I had anything that great, but I'll go with my silver coin #299 for the year, an 1892 Barber quarter. After all, it is *almost* a Seated!

here is the only cool find I got in december, only had two hunts in december. I found this old lock in a field where a home was in the 1800's. I am told it was made in the 1870's

and of course it would be another tie, super! You both won and get to be my friend! I think we need to give find of the month a rest for a while, at least until weather gets better.

Hi Goes4ever, just a word about your find. I also found a lock like yours. The lock was originaly made in New York in the early days, but then the company moved to Ohio and is still making Safety Locks. In fact it is the only Safety Lock company that is still in the United States. Most of the early NY locks were railroad locks.

Just thought I would throw in my two cents worth. It was nice to see your picture on The Ohio treasure magazine. Congratualations.

Your Friend,

P.S.
Sure wish they had spell check on this site, I can't spell for crap. LOL

Hey Nick you going to have a Best find for January or Febuary. I have hunted both months and have some silver finds from both of them.
I and my partner try to hunt every month of the year, so far we have made the first two months. Good thing we hit a day in Feb. were we could
hit the dirt, before the snow fell again.

Hey, Your welcome. I have been using my X-terra 70 a lot and really like the way it pulls out the goodies. I even hunt in all
metal mode, really like the way it works in that mode. I pulled a little cracker jack box toy out of the ground in Fauout Park in Lima, it
was trolly car, really neat, also found some silver there.

Take care,
Denny

Hey Denny, the Find of the Month is on a break for now. Seems like people were not entering/detecting much at then end of the year, so Mike and I will probably start it up again in the springtime. Wish this snow would go away! :D

OK Nick, no problem. I don't think I'll be seeing any dirt for awhile. LOL I have already plowed snow today and we already have an extra 5 inches of snow. Can't wait till morning comes.

Take care and stay warm.

Denny
